The new Jason Wu for Target lookbook has pretty much taken over my day. I literally feel like I'm ripping at the seams waiting to run to Target on February 6th to scoop up these items in particular:
The real point is, this got my juices flowing in regards to what my real, actual-life style is. And though there are a great many things I wish it was, adventurous is not exactly one of the words I would choose to describe it. I tend to gravitate toward pieces that are classic (read: safe), but always with some sort of defining or differentiating detail, much like the classically-inspired but still extremely modern Jason Wu.
1. Absolutely classic pallette of navy, cream and red, plus tassel detail 2. Metallic flecked sweater jacket, updated with gold hardware and a maritime feel | 3. Taupe-y pseudo-animal print irregular polka puff-sleeve blouse | 4. Classic red sheath, updated with a mesh neckline | 5. Nude shift, modern black tipping | 6. Trendy colorblocking done in a classic pallette of navy, cream, red and camel | 7. Staple secretary blouse with an exaggerated bow | 8. Classic wool walking coat in a fresh color, asymmetrical placket and black leather tipping detail | 9. Classic trench updated with polkas | 10. Equestrian-detailed waist belt | 11. Burgundy shift with a crystal bib | 12. Of-the-moment accordion pleates in an almost nude metallic gold, plus adorable tassel belt | 13. Essie's Lollipop: classic, but punchy | 14.
