I am always one to jump at an opportunity to rock a red, white and blue palette, so Memorial Day is no exception.

While it is disgusting, rainy and cold here in Boston, I will be in Maui for Memorial Day this year (once I ACTUALLY get to fly out, 24 hours late). These are some warm-weather friendly options.

Friday's Fancies: Stripe My Fancy

I've been totally absent as of late - but not without reason. I started a new job last week and let's just say that between the longer commute, super fast-paced ramp up, and the boy's entire family coming to town (& our apartment for the first time) this weekend, I have been beyond overwhelmed with things to be done - and even more on my mind - but not the blog.

Friday's Fancies: April Showers

As I type this, not only is it not "April showering" - it is a beautifully sunny day out here in the Boston suburbs.

I am always thankful for sunny days, but especially today. Also, as I type this post, I am in the last few hours of my tenure at my current job. I had been on the job search since last October looking for the right fit for a new position, and I am excited to start a new chapter in my career (amidst closing on my first home - no biggie!). And while I am feeling really good about where my life is headed right now, today is a bittersweet day for me as I am saying goodbye to the people I have become so close with over the last 2.5 years.
